Safari Overview

This is a 16 days, 15 nights tour for wildlife game viewing drives. The safari will start from Nairobi and end in Nairobi. You shall be in a 4×4 Landcruiser Jeep with an open roof-top for better visual of the game drives. Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu Day 2: Samburu Day 3: Samburu – Lake Nakuru Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara Day 5: Masai Mara Day 6: Masai Mara Day 7: Masai Mara – Musoma – Lake Victoria Day 8: Musoma – Serengeti Day 9: Serengeti Day 10: Serengeti Day 11: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Day 12: Ngorongoro Day 13: Ngorongoro- Lake Manyara Day 14: Lake Manyara – Amboseli Day 15: Amboseli Day 16: Amboseli – Nairobi

Safari Itinerary

DAY 1: NAIROBI-SAMBURU

Depart from the hotel at 0700hrs, a safari briefing session with our tour driver guide before starting the safari via the majestic Mt. Kenya route to the open savannah of Samburu national game reserve. Lunch in Samburu then proceed for the afternoon game drive before games for afternoon drives before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 2: SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE

Spend full day exploring the park. Morning and afternoon game drive. Meals and overnight stay at Elkarama lodge.
The highlight of Samburu National Reserve is the scenic beauty, river and forest. It is the area where local people have rich and colourful heritage. The reserve has numerous permanent springs and wealth of wildlife such as leopard, hippos, elephant, lion, reticulated giraffe grevy zebras and crocodiles In Ewaso Nyiro River. Over 365 species of bird have been identified in the sanctuary

DAY 3: SAMBURU – LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK.

After breakfast we break to lake national park. Game is viewed as we exit the park. Lunch enroute followed by an afternoon game drive at the pick lake. Dinner and overnight at the cliff nakuru.
Lake Nakurus claim to fame is anchored to its flamingoes and over 400 species of birds found here. The lake itself is a soda lake on the floor of the rift valley. The sight of the at times million flamingoes is a spectacular view. From a distance the lake appears ringed in pink. The lake also has earned a reputation of endangered animals such as Rothschild giraffe, and black and white rhinos, lions, water bucks and baboons resides there.

DAY 4: LAKE NAKURU – MAASAI MARA

After breakfast, travel south through the beautiful savannah and plains of rift valley and reach our base lodge, where we enjoy the evening bush out under the far reaching African sky. Game is viewed as we proceed to serena mara for dinner and overnight.
The mara offers wildlife in such varieties and abundance that is difficult to believe : over 450 species species of animals are recorded here. You will easily see lions, giraffes, hyenas, cheetahs, jackals, warthogd, grey zebras, many kinds of antelopes and elephants. It is in the mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place. This is the annual migration  of millions of wildebeests and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on –their heir heels are the predators of the savannah- the lions, cheetah, wilddogs, jackal, hyenas and vultures.

DAY 5: FULL DAY MASAI MARA

Enjoy a full day tour at the great Masai Mara for wildlife and birdlife viewing drives. We shall leave after breakfast with our packed lunch.

DAY 6: FULL DAY MASAI MARA
Another full day tour at the Masai Mara for more wildlife game viewing drives.

DAY 7: MAASAI MARA – MUSOMA – LAKE VICTORIA

Leave the lodge and drive through the southern part of the reserve viewing game as we proceed to Tanzania boarder Isebania Sirari. We stop for the night in a quite town in the shore of the immense Lake Victoria known as the Musoma. The surrounding countryside is a home of to many different tribes including the Kuria, Jita, Luo and Taturu. Musomas colorful port and the variety of tribes makes it a vibrant town. Overnight stay at stopover lodge.

DAY 8 MUSOMA – SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

We drive south and west in the morning west game viewing to the west corridor of the great Serengeti via Ndabaka Gate  with a picnic lanch en route . the afternoon is spent viewing and then dinner and overnight at the lodge/campo.

DAY 9: FULL DAY SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Depart in the morning and drive west game viewing through the central region of seronera. overnight at the camp or lodge.
Serengeti is Africa most famous and Tanzania’s largest park that covers 14,736sq km and is adjoining with the maasai mara game reserve in Kenya. With a wildebeest population over 2 million and sevral other endangered animals as such a s kangaroos, cheetahs, rhinos, rhinos, kirk dik dik ,oxy, orbi, buffalo and warthog. Elephants are rarely scarce and few remaining rhinoceros are restricted tomoru copies area.

Day 10: FULL DAY SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

More wildlife viewing drives at Serengeti National Park. Serengeti is known for the wildebeest migration that happens yearly. It starts from Serengeti in Tanzania to Masai Mara in Kenya.

DAY 11: SERENGETI – NGORONGORO CRATER

View game as you drive south east up into the magnificent ngorongoro conservation. Full afternoon crater tour followed by dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
The Ngorongoro crater is oftened referred to as Africa Den and the 8th wonders of the world a visit to the crater is the main drawcard for tourist coming to Tanzania and a definite world class attraction. The Tanzania national conservative is home of ngorongoro crater. It was formed after 2.5 million years ago from a volcanic mountains sinking due to inactivity thought to be higher than Tanzania’s mt. Kilimanjaro.
The crater has evolved into a unique and integral part of Tanzania eco-system. The crater is actually a caldera, measures 22.5 km across the rim wall stand 600m high. Views from within and from the rim is breath taking (as can be seen from the pictures). The crater houses 30,000 animals and large variety of birds which rarely move from area to area due to availability of water throughout the wet season and dry seasons.

DAY 12: FULL DAY NGORONGORO CRATER

DAY 13: NGORONGORO – LAKE MANYARA

Take breakfast then exit the park and drive to lake manyara national park. Explore the park famed for tree climbing lions. Picnic lunch is offered. Dinner and overnight.
Lake manyara national park is serene and beautiful with main attraction of a rich birdlife, tree climbing lions, lions, hippos that you can see at a closer range than most other places. Lake manyara is an alkaline lake and at certain types of the year hosts thousands of flamingoes and diversity of other birdlife. Although it is one of the smallest parks, a vegetarian is so diverse enabling it to its a variety of other birds.
Later in the evening head back to your lodge/camp for overnight.

DAY 14: LAKE MANYARA – AMBOSELI

Soon after the breakfast, drive off and proceed to Amboseli National Park. Lunch will be at Arusha then proceed to Namanga border for immigration formalities. Afternoon game drive is in schedule at the Amboseli National Park.
Later in the evening head back to your lodge/camp for overnight.

DAY 15: FULL DAY AMBOSELI

Early breakfast at your lodge/camp then proceed for a full day game viewing drive with our packed lunch. If weather permits, you shall view the snow-caped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s largest mountain in Tanzania with amazing views in Amboseli. We shall search for the big five; Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Buffalo and Rhino. Spectacular views of Mt. Kilimanjaro with large herds of elephants shall be the highlight of Amboseli. The scenic views of Amboseli and amazing wildlife sightings are what makes Amboseli a must visit wildlife attraction area in Kenya.

DAY 16: AMBOSELI – NAIROBI

Early morning game drive before breakfast is in schedule before departing for Nairobi.
hen transfer to the airport to board a flight to Nairobi.
